This exhibition consists of sculptures from the series “cursed items” and thirty gestural paintings. The gesture is another way to face the empty canvas. It gave full value to stroke himself and spontaneous character of the wrist, arm, fingers and body of each artist. Llongueras not give room for chance, but the mood of the moment, which is what influences and guides the gesture. Neither subjects nor seeks painted shapes. Only you’d better search for an image that has visual quality and originality. That does not look like any other work.
In the 70s, Llongueras had planned works within the limits of political and socially incorrect. We tried to make sculptures, somehow, shocked. In the history of sculpture pieces were missing as well. Transgressive pieces in society and called him “fucking pieces” which are now displayed in Lleida. Salvador Dali who was inspired and encouraged Llongueras conducting this series of sculptures. Llongueras enjoyed capturing them in their ideas, such as his idealized androgynous.
