RECENT WORK
If last june exposition in the Gothic Room of Lleida Studies Institute meant more emblematic individual presence of Vall Palou and represented its desire to entre at the local art scene with an own name, the sample that has now offered in Barcelona’s Art Box space, shows its willingness to be known beyond the scope of our city.
Between expositions exist logical matches and specific news. One can verify the firmness of its non-figurative speech, experimentation by finding chromatic environments and materias in different formats, the expressiveness of a painting full of gestural and property. A job,after all, that goes into the work carrying out a research into new chromatic solutions.
The dimension of the Barcelona’s lounge located in the traditional Petritxol Street and the singular Art Box exhibition system, which increases the ability to view a greater number of works on paper, has facilitated the inclusion of paintings that formally participated in the already known works spirit, and the most recent works that protagonist this first presentation in the capital.
Vall Palou has recently exerted a desire of synthesis, of stripping the pictorial symbolism of its colored materials to provide of key significance to white. On basis in paper or fabric with acrylic colors, white background works well as contrast to outline gestural calligraphy signs or expressive strokes .
