Vall Palou
CONSOLIDATED abstraction
Abstract painting of the twentieth century followed a very different evolution in its purposes and chronologies; liberation from form with Cubism, structure and form with the Constructivists, formalism with abstract expressionist, semiotic and conceptualism with the 70th paints and when the death of painting was advertised at the post-modern era, abstraction is reborn with a new theoretical thrust by philosophers and critics and argumentative thrust by painters.
This abstraction of the last century that gave meaning to the painting has the advantage of consolidating with this referenced historical baggage, while it was developed without need to respond to theories and concepts. It is a way of painting that is expressed in a freedom unmatched by his predecessors. Abstract painting that consolidated the new century, has an enviable level autonomy of precepts. The new abstract painting is not opposed to figuration or the new alternative media or new technologies, it has enough to develop as the fact to get known the heiress of such an exceptional tradition with such remarkable authors. This legacy determines its postulates and consolidates itself.
In this referential context is positioned the painter Vall Palou determination to form an style based on a force and current abstract expressionism. Today, after an intense and recognized public presence way, we can say that the decision to opt for a non-representational language has been its signature style, the trail to guide and define itself.
